Odó

Odò is the first capsule collection by Tola Ojuolape Studio. It is inspired by Tola’s Nigerian heritage where arts and crafts are richly celebrated. Odó is a Yoruba word with a double meaning. Odó in Yoruba means Mortar, earthenware vessels used as part of the essential utensils and working rituals for the everyday woman in Yoruba culture. These were used by women to make traditional Nigerian food. It was also practiced mainly by women passed from mother to children from one generation to another.

Odò also means stream, the stream is an integral part of Yoruba woman’s everyday ritual reserved for bathing and daily household rituals. The collection includes a range of vases, vessels and plant pots.
